Description
This easy breakfast casserole combines crispy hash browns, creamy eggs, cheese, and savory toppings into one crowd-pleasing dish.
Ingredients
4 cups frozen shredded hash browns (thawed and drained)
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ cup cooked crumbled bacon or sausage (optional)
2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread thawed and dried hash browns evenly into the bottom of the dish.
3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
4. Stir in cheese and optional toppings (bacon, sausage, or green onions).
5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the hash browns.
6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can prep the casserole the night before and refrigerate.
For extra crisp top, add more cheese halfway through baking.
